Four matches of the Asia Cup will be played in Pakistan while current champions Sri Lanka will host nine games.

This Edition of the Asia Cup will feature two groups, with two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Four stage.The top two teams from the Super Four stage will fight for the trophy in the final. As per Cricbuzz, India and Pakistan would be placed in the same group to ensure at least two matches between the arch-rivals.

Pakistan was the original host for the Asia Cup 2023. When India refused to travel Pakistan, this event lands into problems. After a lot of discussion, PCB chief Najam Sethi proposed a ‘hybrid model’ where some matches will be played in Pakistan and the remaining in Sri Lanka.
